Core Keeper Switch 2 Version Launches January 28 With Void & Voltage Update
/Developer Pugstorm has announced that their cozy mining adventure game Core Keeper is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on January 28, 2026. The release will coincide with the game’s next major update, Void & Voltage.
Void & Voltage Update
Launching the same day, the Void & Voltage update introduces a new biome called Breaker’s Reach, featuring new enemy types and a massive boss named S.A.H.A.B.A.R.
The update also brings new weapons, including the Flamethrower and Minigun, along with new tools such as the Advanced Automation Table. Players can expect expanded automation options through additions like the Robot Farm Arm, Seed Extractor, Item Collector, Conveyor Belt Splitter, Shredder, Incinerator, and Critter Catcher.
It’s impressive to see Core Keeper still receiving major updates well after its 1.0 launch last year. After a long Early Access period (2 years), it has become a solid choice for fans of cozy mining sandboxes, with dungeon-crawling elements and full co-op support for friends.
This new update will be free for all existing Core Keeper players.
